Pengower Selects Matisse to Power its Flexible Business Applications Platform

Mountain View, CA - July 11, 2005 Matisse Software today announces that Pengower, a U.K. based provider of business applications, selected the Matisse 7 database to power its numerous applications.

Pengower provides companies of all sizes with a range of template business applications, which can be customized to their specific needs. These applications cover all aspects of business from, finance to sales, from human resources to supply chain management. The Pengower platform enables the rapid development and deployment of these sophisticated web based business database applications. The platform has been developed entirely in Microsoft .NET using C# and ASP.NET and uses Matisse 7 as its underlying DBMS.

Andrew Downing, Director of Technology and a Co-Founder of Pengower, said: "I found Matisse's support to be excellent; they have always been very responsive." According to Downing, key to the selection of Matisse, were: support for native objects and XML, support for ANSI SQL, full text search and the fact that administration requirements were minimal. "We are very pleased that Pengower selected Matisse 7," said Claude Ezran, Vice President of Marketing of Matisse Software, "their approach to the market is similar to ours; they have a very interesting platform that allows plenty of flexibility in customization while at the same time providing fast deployment of sophisticated business applications."
