Apolon Technology Selects Matisse 7 for its Debt Collection Application

Mountain View, CA - January 17, 2005 Matisse Software today announced that Apolon Technology, an Australian company that markets applications for debt collection agencies selected Matisse 7 as its database of choice.

Apolon Technology’s product assists debt collection agencies in managing the life cycle of debt collection jobs from initial instruction, through investigation, field work and finally invoicing. The two-tier application has been developed entirely in Microsoft .NET using C# and Windows Forms and uses Matisse 7 as its underlying database.

“One of the key benefits of using Matisse is that having a one-to-one correspondence between the application’s domain object model and the database incredibly cuts out menial repetitive coding during development,” said Apolon Ivankovic, CEO of Apolon Technology. “This provides incredible power in developing object-oriented applications end-to-end, rather than having the developer constantly switch context to a table-based database model,” added Ivankovic.

“We are very pleased to have been selected by Apolon Technology,” said Claude Ezran, Vice President of Marketing of Matisse Software. “Matisse’s tight integration to Microsoft Visual Studio .NET was critical in this instance. Direct mapping between application interface hierarchies and database schema classes, one-to-one correspondence between stored methods and .NET class methods, C# reference and list abstraction to traverse the relationships between objects, as well as management of referential integrity are key features taken for granted with Matisse in the .NET framework but yet to be implemented by relational database vendors.” added Ezran.
