Overview

Matisse Software, developer of the Post-Relational SQL database, is seeking for a QA Manager. In this position you will be responsible for leading a QA group. You will be involved in all phases of the development cycle creating test plans, test scenarios and test cases. You will also be in charge of the extension of Matisse test platform.

Responsibilities

• Help develop the short-term and long-term vision for quality
  
• Develop complete test plans and test cases, lead execution of testing effort
  
• Define and measure entrance/exit criteria for all releases; establish acceptance testing strategy
  
• Drive QA Automation: define, develop and execute QA Automation test strategies and processes
  
• Lead day-to-day QA processes and schedule testing resource
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE/Physics/Math
  
• 2+ years of proven successful management of QA teams as either a team lead or direct manager
  
• Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring, the ability to research and identify test requirements, and the ability to define test plans for all aspects of software testing including functional, integration, performance, stress, and scalability testing
  
• Track record of isolating complex issues so that they can be reliably reproduced
  
• Trained in software quality categories and related metrics and demonstrate an in-depth understanding of systems that run Windows, Linux, Solaris, and other operating systems supported by our products
  
• Ability to define test cases and scripts based on documented testing requirements and test plans, ability to prepare reports and analyses on tests and test results, and demonstration of a thorough knowledge of software testing issues, methods, metrics, and resources
  
• Demonstrated proficiency with QA concepts, issues, methods, and tools and will demonstrate a detailed understanding of the software testing methods and software development processes used by the organization
  
• Must work within established practices to maintain, modify, and enhance existing software quality methods and processes, and participate in the development and testing of new software quality assurance methods
  
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill using multiple scripting languages that are commonly used in test script automation
  
• Strong background in database technologies and previous experience in maintaining, administrating and/or testing DBMS systems
  
• Experience developing applications using complex SQL structures
  
• Strong knowledge in Database concepts
  
• Strong C/C++/Java/C# programming skills
  
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to reporting accuracy
